Trailer of an interesting research by Alexander Negrelli, about German graphic designer Otl Aicher.
It’s not only a book about the visual identity of the Olympic Games in 1972. It’s a complex project that shows the connections between terrorists and design, gold medals, movies, sneakers, politics, maps, architecture and logos.
The results of the research at JanVanEyck-academy in Maastricht will be published in 2012.
Looking forward!

I love Herman Miller all along. I think it’s one of the most fascinating design brand as for graphic, furniture objects and philosophy company.
If I were you, I would check this collection of wonderful videos about Herman Miller products.
These weren’t a real commercials. Most probably, they were a internal company spoofs. In fact, there weren’t television advertisements at that time.
Very very cool stuff!

Tomorrow The White Review will launch its second issue. The White Review is a quarterly arts, culture and politics magazine, published in print and online, and established on a non-profit economic model. Their website is updated with new, usually web-only content several times each week. There’s also a really nice interview between American film-maker Alison Klayman and Ai Weiwei. He is both a close friend and the subject of her first feature-length documentary, Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry.

Nam

NAM is a Tokyo-based graphic/art collective, formed in May 2006. NAM works is always special and i definitly love the atmospheres of their pictures. That’s when graphic design becomes “visualization” of ideas. Space composition.
And, furthermore, for the first time i don’t find annoying the background sound of their website!
